Team events are usually run
during the week and last for one day, however we can deliver them at
weekends and if required, residentially. |

FACILITATED AWAY DAYS |
|
This style of team
day is more conventional that our other team days. It is an effective way
for teams to work through issues and to discuss, in a safe environment,
concerns that are affecting the team. |
|
Benefits of this type of day |
|
This style of day
keeps the team focussed on the issues to be discussed, the facilitator will
manage the discussions, make notes and record action points – the notes will
be written up after the day. The structured approach of this day means that
you can get ‘real’ outcomes from the day work with back in the workplace. |

We will provide
pens, paper and other resources for the session and any reference materials
which will be helpful. |

CREATIVE AWAY DAYS |
|
This style of team
day is designed to address team issues in a creative and fun way. We use
team collage, personal art and craft activities individual ‘learn about and
express yourself’ tasks and questionnaires, facilitated mini discussion
sessions and team based activities. |

We combine elements
from the facilitated team day structure within the day so that we ensure that you
meet the objectives of the day. |

This style of away
day has an emphasis on creativity as a form of expression rather than whole
team discussion. |

Benefits of this type of day |
|
People attending
the day are able to work in a variety of team combinations, which is a good
way to get to know new people or team members who you don’t spend much time
with. There are opportunities to find out about yourself as well as your
team members. The trainer will encourage you to mix with everyone during the
day. You can get real outcomes and decisions made in a ‘fun’ way and express
yourself in a creative way. |

|
This style of team
day is designed to address team issues in a fun way. We use team games, mini
competitions, individual ‘learn about yourself’ tasks and questionnaires,
facilitated mini discussion sessions and skills based activities. |

from the facilitated team day structure within the day so that we ensure that you
meet the objectives of the day. |

PROBLEM SOLVING AWAY DAYS |
|
This style of team
day is designed to help the team work through problems. We use a variety of
creative approaches to help people learn about their own and other people
approach to problem solving. We use tasks and questionnaires, discussion
sessions, creative problem solving approaches and theories to help the team
work through the problem or challenges they face. |

TREASURE HUNT – as an Away Day |
|
The structure of
this sort of team away day is quite different to any of the other days. You
decide in advance where you would like to take your team – to the coast or
an historic town or city and we create a treasure hunt for your team to work
out. Usually the team is divided into pairs or small groups of four. We can
match the pairs and groups randomly or you may want to deliberately match
people for team building/relationship reasons. |

The day starts with a briefing from the
trainer and then you set out on your quest. |

|
At the end of the
treasure hunt there is a debrief which can include a facilitated session on
how everyone performed on the day and how that translates into ‘real
teamwork’ back at work. |

Benefits
of this type of day |
|
The day offers the
opportunity for competitive team work in pairs or small groups. The activity
takes place outside and against the clock so the activity is time limited.
Pairings and groups can be organised so that particular colleagues can be
asked to work together. The day is fun and people enjoy the opportunity to
‘get out and about’. |
|
Resources
and other arrangements |
|
When you have
decided on the destination for your treasure hunt we find a venue to use as
a base – depending on your budget we might select a community centre,
village hall or a hotel – the catering will be organised to suit your budget
and the venue. |

Each team will have all of the resources
they need for the day and we will provide prizes and certificates to winners
and certificates to everyone who takes part. |

MINI THEATRE |
|
An opportunity to
write and perform your own mini theatre production! Best suited to large
teams – we get you to consider some team based or organisation issues that
you would like to discuss or resolve and then we ask you to create a mini
performance which describes the problem, the issues and possible solutions –
in the style of a pantomime or similar theme. |

|
The day(s) start
with a briefing from the trainer and then you set to write, cast and produce
your mini theatre performance. |
| |
|
You can choose to
invite an audience to add some extra pressure to the event – usually senior
management teams, volunteers, other colleagues, sponsors and similar people
will enjoy watching your efforts! |
| |
|
At the end of the performance there is a
debrief which can include a facilitated session on how everyone performed on
the day and how that translates into ‘real teamwork’ back |

Best organised over
two days – can be a weekend! |

The event offers
the opportunity for competitive team work in groups. The activity provides
everyone with an opportunity to be involved – not everyone will want to be a
performer. The event is fun and people enjoy the opportunity to dress up
and slap on the makeup! |

Resources

We will source a suitable venue within a
reasonable travelling distance from your office. Hotels often have ‘stages’
or suitable rooms for an invited audience and performers |

Each team will have
all of the resources they need for the performance, guidance from an
experienced trainer with theatre skills. The whole event can be captured on
camera. |

PIC ‘N’ MIX |
|
If you like the
sound of several of the team building solutions you can choose elements from
each of them so that the day is created by your team. We will link the
activities together so that the day flows from one activity to another. |
