MANAGING STRESS & ANXIETY

This workshop is for anyone working in a pressurised and stressful environment, who feels the need to 'take control' of difficult situations which cause them anxiety or stress. It is designed to enable participants to identify the causes of pressure in their workplace and to develop strategies for managing the resulting stress and anxiety.

WORKSHOP OBJECTIVES

By the end of the workshop participants will be able to:

  • Identify how and why they currently respond to stress and anxiety in the way they do

  • Identify current sources of anxiety

  • Demonstrate how to manage their responses in stressful situations

  • Demonstrate the ability to manage their stress using tools and strategies gained during the workshop

  • Demonstrate assertive responses to people and situations they find difficult

  • Demonstrate the ability to protect boundaries and still get the outcome they require from a situation

  • Understand the changes that take place in the body during periods of stress and anxiety

  • Identify causes of stress in their life

  • Identify strategies for managing stress

  • Decide upon a strategy for the future management of pressure and anxiety
