TRAIN THE TRAINER PROGRAMME |
|
|
|
WHO IS IT
FOR? |
|
This programme is
intended for people who want to develop their training skills beyond a very
basic level. If your job involves the design and delivery of
coaching/training or mentoring then attending this two day programme (with
an optional third day) will help you build on your skills, knowledge and
confidence. |
| |
|
Experienced and new trainers will all
find inspiration and something useful to take away from the programme. |
|
|
|
If you are
responsible for managing trainers or training in your organisation then this
programme is ideal for creating not only skilled and confident trainers but
also new and revised materials and delivery options. |
|
WHY IS IT
EFFECTIVE? |
|
The trainers who
deliver this workshop have many years experience in the field of training
design and delivery and bring with them expert knowledge of how adults
learn, the planning and delivery of training in addition to handy hints and
tips about how to deal with resistance from participants and how to
stimulate difficult learners. This knowledge and experience combined with a
practical demonstration of good practice will inspire other new and
experienced trainers to strive to achieve best practice in all aspects of
the role of a trainer. |
|
ABOUT THE PROGRAMME |
|
The programme will explore ‘good
practice’ approaches to training, including planning, design and delivery,
whilst taking into account the importance of preferred learning styles and
different levels of learner ability. |

DELIVERY OPTIONS |
|
Delivered ‘in
house’ the two days are usually run consecutively with day one being
focussed on theory and day two more practical with participants designing
and delivering ‘real’ training and receiving feedback from peers and the
trainer. |
|
|
|
Other delivery
options include a third day about 6-8 weeks later to review progress and
real life delivery experiences since the two day programme. This third day
is run as a ‘training clinic’ and review with detailed discussions about
problems encountered, confidence and planning issues – in fact any topic the
trainers feel they need help on. |
